Use Velox with your AI assistant

Velox runs an MCP server, so AI apps such as Claude and ChatGPT can read your training plan and help you adjust it. It's free with your Velox account: you sign in and approve each app yourself.

Server URL

https://api.velox-running.com/mcp

What it can do

  • Read your training plan
  • Read your run summaries from non-Garmin sources
  • On a co-coached plan, work out and save the edits you ask for

What it never shares

  • Garmin data of any kind
  • Health metrics: heart rate, HRV and sleep

How connecting works

When you add Velox to an app, it opens velox-running.com/oauth/consent. Sign in with your Velox account and choose whether to allow that app. To disconnect an app later, open the Velox app and go to Settings → Integrations → AI assistants.

Things to ask

  • “What's on my Velox plan this week?”
  • “How did my last four weeks of running compare with the plan?”
  • “Move Saturday's long run to Sunday and show me what changes before you save it.”
  • “Make Thursday an easy run and tell me about any warnings.”

Edits work on a co-coached plan.

Set it up

Claude

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the server URL and sign in to Velox when asked.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT's settings, add a custom connector or app.
  2. Paste the server URL and sign in to Velox when asked.

The exact menu names change as ChatGPT updates its settings.
